Aims & Objectives

Management Society, Paradeep Fishing Harbour

To manage and maintain the Fishing Harbour for all weather use of fishing vessels and post-harvest activities by stakeholders.
To provide convenient landing facilities to the Fishing Crafts.
To facilitate berthing, handling of catches, auctioning, bunking repairing etc.
To provide hygienic conditions for the preprocessing, handling of fish to meet international standards.
To maintain hygiene as per EU norm and of international standard in handling of marine catches.

Situated very close to the river mouth, enabling smooth sailing of trawlers.
Fish quality maintained to international standards through proper handling, processing, packing, and icing.
Auction Hall facilities available for auctioning of the catches.
Landing Jetty of 270 meters and Service Jetty of 220 meters length, providing better landing and service facilities for vessels.
Four Finger Jetties providing better shelter for vessels.
Round-the-clock supply of fresh water to trawlers and harbour users.
Diesel outlets on the jetty for fuel supply.
12 Ice Plants in the vicinity of Paradeep ensuring continuous supply of quality ice.
Market complex available to facilitate business requirements of jetty users.
Facilities under progress include 2nd Auction Hall, New Market Complex, and First Aid Centre under the Central Sector Scheme PMMSY.
Proposed facilities such as Ice Plant and Cold Storage are in the pipeline for construction.
